1. Find some Lists and Mark some Words

<aside> 💡 The first step is simple: Find some Worksheets and mark those values that resonate with you. No thinking or deliberating, this first step is purely based on vibes. What you're building here is a value landscape, a collection of things you consider important.

Shopping around is helpful here, trying a few lists to see which ones resonate. For a start, this is my favourite (although I do ignore the 10 word limit😏).

2. Find Themes in your Landscape

<aside> 💡 The second step takes a little work: Going through the list, some themes will emerge based on what you associate the word with. For example, you can ask:

• In what context do you consider this value?
• Is it a facet of another higher-order factor, or is its own standalone value?

These themes and factors can only emerge out of a value landscape (which you painted in 1.), so there's no set structure.

3. Write about it (optional)

<aside> 💡 After seeing the themes that had emerged, I wanted to elaborate a bit on my associations - so I wrote some stuff about the different themes and factors. This is helpful to get some detail on the world around the terms, as they can be rather subjective.
